i have an american audio v2000 plus amp, is it too strong for my two 150 watts(each) speakers?
i started dj’ing at home with turntables, but a friend told me that the american audio v2000 plus amp is too strong for the 300 watts combination of my two technics speakers, i tried to research for myself but couldnt find anything. help please!
Hugo – You probably will be fine as long as you don’t push the amp so loud that it goes into distortion.
Watch the peak or limit lights on the amp when you are playing the system loudly. If they are not lighting up, you should be fine. If they are lighting up, back off on the volume.
That is good practice for all DJ’s and pro audio engineers.
