What do I have to buy to be a at home dj?
So I have been thinking about this for sometime and I think I am ready to start mixing. I wanna be a at home dj just mixing for videos and recording to show friends and being able to bring my skills to friends party’s.
But I dont have alot of money and I was thinking of starting off with little equipment. I know I dont want to do vinyl, not right now atleast.
I was thinking of getting one piece of hardware that is a mixer, controller, and has some jog wheels that way i can just buy maybe traktor and usb it to my computer so its that simple? Does that sounds cool? How could I record would the software let me record? How would I be able to use this setup at party’s? Any recommendations for hardware? I dont want to spend over 500 really, I was thinking of the Hercules – DJ Console RMX??
numark mixdeck sounds good for you its about $550 it could record mixes straight to an ipod you can you use cd’s a computer or usb drive and it includes built in effects and you also want to get some decent speakers for around $80
