Dj Mixer With Subwoofer Output Questions

Whats the best wiring solution for my dj setup?

I am a beginner dj and im having a little trouble with my set up.
i have a behringer djx750 mixer and it has the standard RCA output (but only one of them)
now,i have to run that output to my two behringer PA speakers (which use the standard speaker 3.5 jack i believe) as well as my subwoofer.
is there any kind of control box i would need to purchase in order to make this wiring easier? or what would be suggested?

It sounds like you’ve got an active setup, ie each speaker has it’s own built-in amp. Therefore there’s not really an easier way to wire your setup.

If however you’ve not got an passive setup, then the simplest way is the following:

- Your RCA output will go out of your mixer and into an amplifier (as long as the amp has RCA inputs, otherwise get RCA to jack cables)
- The amplifier will have outputs, send these to your speakers

I don’t know how much experience you have, but if it turns out your speakers are passive (ie they do not have built-in amplifiers), then going straight from your mixer into the speakers won’t give you any sound, unless your mixer is powered, but it wouldn’t usually send it down an RCA connection anyway.

Hope this helps.
