Tech-ignorant: Where do I find a mixer with an amp?
I’m a small-time DJ. I just play music through my laptop. We have a six channel mixer hooked up to receiver. I need a new mixer and would like to bypass the receiver. What the heck is a powered mixer? Is a mixer available with an amp? What would it be called? I found amplifier mixers (sounds good) but it’s all tech-talk and I’m lost. I need space for multiple microphones, jacks for two devices (laptop and possibly CD player), and volume control.
Any help would be *greatly* appreciated. Thanks!! =)
