Peavey Dj Mixer Questions
Does anyone know how to use and equalize a Subharmonic Synthesizer???
Because when I use it i cant get the bass to sound good, it sounds loose and not loud. This is the setup. A american dj mixer, to the DOD EQ then to a PEAVEY CROSSOVER then to the PEAVEY Subharmonic Synthesizer its a KOSMOS generation 1 and then from the out to the amps. i have 3 amps, 2 for subs and 1 for mains. can u help?

You may need to tame the Subharmonic Synthesizer. Putting a compressor or another EQ after the crossover can help. The subharmonic synth is usually mixed with the original bass sound (it is in addition to the original bass frequencies). Try listening to the output of the crossover direct to the amps (without the sub harmonic synth)…you will hear what I am talking about. You may want to remove it from the picture altogether. Most music (CD, LP, etc.) already has plenty of subharmonic content…the crossover will help set the point at which this content is sent to the sub.
